galstondartpic Gulstan Dart, newsanchor on KCRA 3 We are very excited to have award-winning journalist confirmed as the official “Celebrate America” Master of Ceremonies and show narrator! Gulstan anchors KCRA 3 Reports at 11 p.m. Monday through Friday with Edie Lambert, KCRA 3 Weather Plus Chief Meteorologist Mark Finan and Sports Director Del Rodgers.

Gulstan is an award-winning journalist for investigating reporting and writing.  Before his arrival at KCRA 3 he was at KIRO-TV in Seattle, where he anchored the morning and noon newscasts since 2003. Gulstan also co-anchored the 5 p.m. award-winning and top-rated newscast at WSB-TV in Atlanta.

He is the first person in his family to graduate from college, Gulstan talks to students about his career path and give them encouragement to succeed in school and life. Gulstan is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington.

Gulstan supports a variety of charities including the March of Dimes, which is near and dear to his heart as he and his wife lost a child to a birth defect in 1998. Gulstan supported other charities in the Seattle area, including Children’s Hospital, Rotary Club, Lupus Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association and Highline Community College. Gulstan is a past board member of the Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club.

He is married with three children and enjoys hiking, water sports, astronomy, reading biographies and downtime with his family. We’re honored to have him as our Master of Ceremonies this year.

    I love watching Gulstan and Edie on the six o’clock news. Gulstan seems to have such an easy demeanor and really seems to like what he is doing. I look forward to the evening broadcasts every night. What a geat addition he is to the KCRA team.
