President Bush designated Sept. 11th as Patriot Day in remembrance of those who lost their lives as a result of the terriorist attacks in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania in 2001.  The resolution creating Patriot Day was unanimously approved by the House of Representatives on Oct. 25, 2001, and became law Dec. 18.

A crew of 14 volunteer college students sold coffee, latte’s, smoothies and candy to generate cash for their charity at Celebrate America last Saturday.  The 5-1-Brew cart raised about $600 for Sunset Christian Center’s 5-1-2 ministry.
